Workshops
on environment, education, development,
gender and other socio- economic issues are
organised for CBOs, shikshikas,
coordinators/supervisors, women, adolescent
girls and youth. State and national level
seminars and lectures have been organised in
Almora.
Since 2010 the B. D. Pande Memorial
Lectures have been organized inviting

State level interactive workshops (Samvad)
have been held since 2009 to promote
discussions among the citizens of Almora
town, CBOs from Uttarakhand, officials,
scientists, lawyers, elected representatives
and ministers in the union and the state
government. Recommendations of these
workshops are published and sent to the
state government for incorporation in
government policies. |

Sangoshthi |
At the request of some residents of
Almora town, the “Sangoshthi”
programme was started in September
2018 to enable people to meet and
discuss a topical issue led by a
keynote speaker. This is a monthly
programme which usually lasts about
an hour and a half.
